Benefits represent an important part of your overall compensation and Riptide is proud to offer a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. In addition to protecting your and your family’s health and well being, Riptide offers important financial and personal benefits.

Below is a general overview of the benefits available to eligible Riptide employees. At Riptide, some elements of these programs vary by business unit. Your human resources representative will explain what applies to you. You are encouraged to become familiar with what the benefits have to offer you.

Health Insurance
Riptide offers employees health insurance, optical and prescription drugs coverage through United Health Care with eligibility on the 1st of the month following the new employee’s start date.

Dental Insurance
Dental Insurance is provided through Principal Financial Insurance with eligibility on the 1st of the month following the new employee’s start date.

Vision Supplemental Insurance
Riptide offers employees the opportunity to participate in the VisionCare insurance program offered by CompBenefits.

Short Term/ Long Term Disability and Life Insurance
Short Term/ Long Term Disability and Life Insurance are provided to all employees through GE Group Life Assurance Co. Life insurance coverage is effective on the 15th day of the month following the month a new employee started.

Section 125 Plan
Riptide offers a Section 125 Plan.

401K Plan
Riptide offers its employees the opportunity to participate in a 401K and employees may receive up to a 5% match on contributions depending on company performance.

Holidays
Riptide recognizes ten paid holidays throughout the year.

Vacation
Riptide provides 80 hours of vacation annually for new employees and vacation time starts accruing immediately upon employee start date.

Educational Assistance
Riptide recognizes that the skills and knowledge of its employees are critical to the success of the organization. The educational assistance program encourages personal development through formal education so that employees can maintain and improve job-related skills. Riptide provides educational assistance to eligible employees who have completed 1000 hours of service.
